The Family Minyan is a warm, traditional, participatory service that is friendly to families, couples and individuals of all ages. We meet weekly beginning at 9:30 a.m. and we try our very best to be finished by noon. Our Shabbat services are always followed by a scrumptious Kiddush, friendly banter and sometimes Shabbat z’mirot. We also have our own Family Minyan services on the High Holy Days as well as on the first day of the Festivals. We celebrate Shabbat with joyful prayer in an intimate setting where families and friends can daven, learn and discuss Torah together. Children of all ages are welcome in Family Minyan and we encourage the participation of all of our upcoming B’nai Mitzvah students. Since we are a lay-led community, we are always looking for volunteers to lead a part of the service or to read Torah or chant a haftarah. We usually meet in Kohn Chapel but occasionally we meet in one of the other halls so be sure to look for our Family Minyan signs. Family Minyan is led by Rabbi Jason Fruithandler with the support of our lay-leadership committee. Add your email address to our list and receive our weekly FM Update. Please come and experience Family Minyan, we’re sure that you’ll want to join our family!
